Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation on California’s Central Coast is seeking an experienced LCSW to deliver counseling and social work services in home and community settings. You will support patients with brain and spinal cord injuries, helping them regain independence through goal-driven therapy with a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers flexible scheduling, hourly pay, travel/mileage reimbursement, ongoing educational programs, growth opportunities, and no weekend or holiday

Qualifications

• Must hold an LCSW with current state licensure.
• Minimum 1 year rehab experience with brain/spinal injury.
• BLS/First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs with safety procedures.
• Fine motor skills and ability to stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of social, emotional, and support needs.
• Set measurable objectives with rehab team.
• Assist health-team in understanding social/emotional factors related to health problems.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families in coping with social and emotional responses.
• Participate in care coordination and act as a resource to other health-team members.
• Identify community resources to help patients achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations, assessing the social, emotional, and support needs of patients and their families.
• Set measurable objectives formulated in conjunction with the rehabilitation team.
• Assist the physician and other health‑team members in understanding significant social and emotional factors related to the patient’s health problems.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families in coping with social and emotional responses connected with illnesses.
• Participate in care coordination activities and act as a resource to other health‑team members in identifying and resolving patient needs.
• Identify and assist patients and/or families in utilizing appropriate community resources to achieve measurable objectives.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work (LCSW).
• Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year experience in a rehabilitation setting serving individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or acute diagnosis.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds following safety procedures when moving, lifting, or transferring patients.
• Requires fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods.
• Additional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently.

Salary Range

USD $60.00 – $65.00 per hour
