Northwest Florida Community Hospital (NFCH) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our Behavioral Health team. The LCSW will provide clinical services to patients and families through individual, group, and family therapy while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide and facilitate individual, group, and family therapy to patients.
Assess and evaluate individuals to determine appropriateness for behavioral health programs and services.
Develop individualized treatment plans that address patient needs, treatment goals, and expected outcomes.
Utilize evidence-based and research-supported therapeutic modalities in patient care.
Develop, locate, and utilize appropriate therapy curriculum, treatment materials, and patient education handouts.
Accurately document all assessments, therapy sessions, treatment plans, and related services in accordance with CMS standards and applicable regulatory requirements, using paper and/or electronic medical records.
Collaborate effectively with unit staff, psychiatrists, management, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Attend staff and departmental meetings and other meetings as assigned.
Provide coverage for the Lead Therapist as needed, including during absences and for delegated responsibilities.
Assist with marketing and public relations efforts for Behavioral Health programs and the hospital as a whole.
Maintain required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, agency-required education, continuing education, and appropriate CEUs necessary to maintain licensure and comply with regulatory requirements.
Participate in occasional evening, night, or weekend events and activities as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited college or university.
Current Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in good standing.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain as required.
Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral health treatment practices and therapeutic modalities.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a hospital, behavioral health, psychiatric, or clinical setting preferred.
Experience providing individual, group, and family therapy preferred.
Familiarity with CMS documentation standards and electronic medical record systems preferred.
