Job summary

Backpack Healthcare is hiring a Kentucky Licensed Mental Health Therapist to deliver telehealth services to children, adolescents, and young adults across Kentucky. This part-time role provides referrals, admin support, billing, and credentialing, with flexible scheduling and 15–22 sessions per week.

Most sessions occur 2:00–9:00 PM EST on weekdays, with weekend slots possible. Clinicians earn $50 per billable hour, plus monthly bonuses and growth opportunities in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky independent license (LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT)
• Experience with children, adolescents, and families
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment
• Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
• Trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
• Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments

Kentucky Licensed Mental Health Therapist — Part-Time

What You’ll Do

You’ll provide 15–22 telehealth sessions per week, delivering individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults throughout Kentucky.

Most clinicians see clients during weekday afternoons and evenings (2:00–9:00 PM EST), with weekend availability welcomed.

You create your schedule—we provide the referrals, administrative support, billing, and credentialing.

Your day-to-day includes:

• Conducting comprehensive behavioral health assessments
• Developing individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans
• Providing evidence-based individual and family therapy through secure telehealth
• Collaborating with our interdisciplinary care team, including therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and care coordinators
• Completing timely, accurate clinical documentation within our electronic health record (EHR)
• Supporting families through education, collaboration, and coordinated care

What You’ll Earn:

What We’re Looking For

We're seeking clinicians who have:

• An active Kentucky independent license (LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT)
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families—or a passion for serving this population
• The ability to work independently in a virtual environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
• A commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply.
