Job summary

Matrix Providers is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team serving Military Service Members and their families at Buckley SFB, CO. This full-time, hourly position offers comprehensive benefits and a structured clinical environment within a military medical facility.

The LCSW will perform psychosocial assessments, provide counseling, and coordinate referrals in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current, full, active LCSW license to practice.

• Documented training in CBT or equivalent empirically supported treatments; certification in trauma-focused modalities preferred.

Matrix Providers is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in Buckley SFB, CO.

• Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly $47.50-$50.00 /hr

Requirements: The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) must have and meet the following:

• Degree/Education: master’s degree in social work (MSW). Graduate from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The contract provider shall have documented clinical training in Cognitive Behavioral treatments or other empirically supported treatments. In addition, the HCW shall have training or certification in one or more of the following evidence-based trauma modalities: Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Written Exposure Therapy, or other empirically supported treatments.
• Experience: The provider shall have at least two (2) years of clinical experience within the last 36 months utilizing empirically supported psychological interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, etc. The provider shall also have at least two years of clinical experience in the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder. In addition, the HCW shall have strong verbal and written skills.
• Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as an independent Licensed Clinical Social Worker on the first day of performance. Must have and maintain throughout the course of the contract, a current, full, active, and unrestricted license (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions).

Core Duties:

• Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other Government agencies for services.
• Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the patient’s problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and assistance needed, in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Independently conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational and other diverse backgrounds.
• Use medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities and treatment procedures. This includes acute, chronic and traumatic illnesses/injuries, common medications and their effects/side effects, and medical terminology.
• Implement treatment modalities in working with individuals, families and groups who are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and social problems to achieve treatment goals.
• Independently provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Must practice within the bounds of the license or certification.
• Provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and compliance with treatment.
• Participate in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other organizations required at the MTF.

Work environment information:

• At-Risk Patient Case Management: The role focuses on coordinating care for high-risk patients, including those with acute safety concerns or receiving a higher level of care at an off-base facility.
• Typical Workday and Patient Workload: Duties may include communicating with outside treatment facilities, meeting with at-risk patients and command teams, documenting in the Electronic Health Record, and updating the At-Risk Patient Tracker. The tracker typically includes 14-30 patients, with 23 currently, while the case manager generally sees 6-10 patients per week once fully trained.
• Clinic Pace and Environment: The pace is moderate to high, depending on the number and acuity of patients on the At-Risk Tracker. The team includes Active Duty Air Force personnel, civilian employees, and contractors, with a private office available for one-on-one appointments and a conference room for Treatment Team Meetings.
• Onboarding and Training: Systems and account access may take approximately one month. Training includes learning the Electronic Health Record, reviewing program guidance and required timelines, and becoming familiar with military culture; the time to become fully independent varies based on prior experience.
• Schedule: Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with the clinic closed on Federal Holidays and Wednesday mornings until 9:00 a.m. for training.
