Job summary

You will review engineering documents, stamp reports, mentor junior staff, and contribute to design basis control while protecting sensitive data and assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a scientific/technical field.
• Five or more years of engineering experience in operations, construction, or maintenance.
• Valid California Driver's License (Class C).
• California professional licenses (Civil PE, SE, GE, or CEG) required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide technical direction for civil/structural engineering for electrical substations.
• Resolve technical issues timely and cost-effectively using available resources.
• Supervise teams including full-time and contract staff; coordinate new standards and strategies.
• Conduct lifecycle assessments and improve maintenance procedures to reduce downtime.
• Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation to ensure safety and reliability.
• Support audits; ensure compliance with EH&S regulations.
• Review and stamp complex engineering documents; ensure design basis control.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training.
• Protect assets and sensitive data in accordance with high standards.
