Job summary

Centennial School District ISD12 seeks a Licensed Care Specialist at Centennial High School to support student health needs. You will perform direct care and medication administration under the licensed nurse, and maintain student health records with precision.

Requirements include MN nursing license (LPN or RN) and CPR/BLS certification. Strong communication and the ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families are essential. Hours are 6.75 per day with competitive wage options.

Position: Licensed Care Specialist- Long Term Sub

Location: Centennial High School

Hours: 6.75 hours/day - 7:45 am to 3:00 pm

Start Date: December 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027

Wage: $29.92 per hour or $31.92 per hour if licensed RN

Benefits: ESST (Earned Safe and Sick Time)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a licensed nurse (LPN or RN) with the State of Minnesota.
• Must have CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to lift/move/push/pull as required by the assignment.
• Demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and effective development.
• Willingness to adapt to becoming part of a total school effort in educating our students.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, students and parents in providing and promoting positive relationships.
• Must be of the highest integrity with a strong commitment to modeling excellence in all aspects of the teacher/student/parent relationships.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct Care, Medication Administration, Maintenance and updating of Student Health Files/Immunizations, Health Screenings, Implementation of Procedures under the direction/delegation of the Licensed School Nurse.
