Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a Licensed Blaster to perform blasting activities and support supervision on job sites in Pennsylvania. The role requires Blaster I/II training, a valid blasting certificate, CDL with hazmat endorsement, and the ability to work across state lines.

You will report to the Blasting Supervisor or Project Superintendent, ensure pre-blast inspections, and maintain safety compliance while coordinating with field teams. Out-of-town travel is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years' experience with drills and explosives.
• Blaster I training completed; Blaster II training required.
• Valid blasting certificate where required.
• Valid CDL with hazmat endorsement and clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willing to travel to out-of-town/state locations.
• Ability to pass ATF background check.
• Knowledge of blasting design, loading holes, detonators, and safety protocols.
• Proficient in drill operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform blasting activities as directed.
• Report blasting results to supervisor.
• Ensure pre-blast inspections are completed.
• Conduct pre-blast tests and seismograph setup.
• Maintain safety policies and follow company rules.
• Transport explosives across state lines as needed.
• Complete field accounting reports and trip manifests.
• Attend safety meetings and company briefings.
