Job summary

DeCoach Recovery Centre in Fairborn, OH, is hiring a Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor (LSW or LPC) for our Mobile Crisis Team. This full-time role offers a base salary of $70,000 annually and a schedule Monday–Friday with flexible start times.

You will provide on-site crisis intervention, assessments, short-term counseling, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to connect clients with the right level of care. A valid Ohio license and driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio LPC or LSW license in good standing.
• Degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Active Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to behavioral health crises with on-site intervention, risk assessment, and stabilization.
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop safety and treatment plans.
• Provide short-term individual counseling using a strengths-based approach.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, case managers, and other team members.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision.
• Deliver culturally competent, inclusive care and advocate for client needs.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with standards and policy.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a licensed Behavioral Health Counselor to join our Greene County Mobile Crisis Team in Fairborn. In this role, you will meet individuals in crisis where they are, providing immediate assessment, de‑escalation, and solution‑focused support. You will work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to help clients overcome barriers, stay safe, and connect to the right level of care. Your work will directly save lives and strengthen our community.

Responsibilities

• Respond to community-based behavioral health crises, providing on-site crisis intervention, risk assessment, and stabilization
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized safety and treatment plans using evidence-based, solution‑focused practices
• Provide short‑term individual counseling using a strengths‑based, person‑centered approach
• Coordinate referrals, linkage, and follow‑up care with community partners and appropriate resources to ensure client safety and continuity of care
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, case managers, and other team members
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision
• Deliver culturally competent, inclusive care to clients from diverse backgrounds and advocate for their needs
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, in line with professional standards and agency policy
• Pursue ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in behavioral health

Qualifications

Required

• Active Ohio LPC or LSW license in good standing
• Degree in counseling, social work, or a related field
• Active Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with clients from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, seeking supervision and consultation when needed
• Strong organizational skills, including managing a caseload and meeting documentation deadlines
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and ethical in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment with changing priorities

Preferred

• Prior experience in crisis intervention, mobile crisis, or emergency behavioral health services
