Job summary

Sephora Harlem is seeking a Licensed Beauty Advisor to join our Beauty Studio team. You’ll guide clients on makeup, waxing, and other services, delivering personalized experiences while staying current with trends and product knowledge.

This part‑time role requires an active professional license in NY, 1–3 years in a similar environment, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible scheduling includes nights, weekends and holidays to help achieve store goals.

Qualifications

• Active license to provide waxing, makeup and false application services in the state where services are performed.
• 1–3 years' experience in a similar role or in retail/hospitality/service environment.
• Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative and goal-oriented environment.
• Quick learner with ability to absorb and share product knowledge effectively.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drive results by helping achieve store goals, providing and rebooking beauty services, servicing clients, and selling products.
• Perform beauty services including makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu.
• Stay informed about beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients.
• Maintain licensure and uphold hygiene standards.
• Foster inclusiveness and teamwork to promote a culture of openness and collaboration.
• Uphold Sephora standards, policies, safety, and a safe shopping experience.
• Ensure flexible scheduling and reliability; meet minimum weekly shifts/hours; be available nights, weekends and holidays.
