Job summary

Sephora in Washington, DC is seeking a Licensed Beauty Advisor to guide clients through their beauty journey at the Beauty Studio and beyond. You’ll share product knowledge, demonstrate services, and tailor experiences to individual needs.

You’ll work a flexible schedule, provide makeup and waxing services, maintain licenses and hygiene, and collaborate with a diverse team to deliver exceptional client care.

Qualifications

• Active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state of performance.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role or in retail, hospitality, or service environment.
• Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative and goal‑oriented environment.
• Quick learner with ability to absorb and share product knowledge effectively.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

As a Licensed Beauty Advisor, you’ll impact clients every day. You’re a beauty expert, guiding clients on their journey at the Beauty Studio and beyond. It’s about more than just products—it's also making someone’s day through teaching, inspiration, and play.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive results: Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, servicing clients, and selling products.
• Perform beauty services: Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu. Stay informed about all beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients.
• Maintain licensure and uphold hygiene standards: Keep licenses active and always uphold health and safety protocols.
• Foster inclusiveness and teamwork: Help promote a culture of openness where everyone feels empowered.
• Uphold Sephora standards: Follow company policies and help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience for all.

Flexible Scheduling and Reliability

• Must meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts/hours
  • Full Time: 30-40 hrs/week
  • Part Time: 15-29 hrs/week
  • Flex (as needed): 4-14 hrs/week
• Be available during peak retail operations (nights, weekends, and holidays).
• Punctuality and consistent attendance.
