Sephora Hillsdale is seeking a Licensed Beauty Advisor to join our Beauty Studio team in San Mateo, CA. You will guide clients on their beauty journeys, perform services like makeup and waxing, and help drive store performance while upholding hygiene and policy standards.

The role requires an active California license, 1–3 years' relevant experience, strong product knowledge, and a customer-service mindset. Flexibility for peak hours and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Drive results Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, servicing clients, and selling products
• Perform beauty services Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed in Sephora’s Beauty Services menu. Stay informed about all beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients
• Maintain licensure and uphold hygiene standards Keep licenses active and always uphold health and safety protocols
• Foster inclusiveness and teamwork Help promote a culture of openness where everyone feels empowered
• Uphold Sephora standards Follow company policies and help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience for all

Flexible Scheduling and Reliability

• Must meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts/ hours
  • Full Time: 30-40 hrs/week
  • Part Time: 15-29 hrs/week
  • Flex (as needed): 4-14 hrs/week
• Be available during peak retail operations (nights, weekends and holidays)
• Punctuality and consistent attendance
