Job summary

Midas is seeking automotive technicians to join our full-service facility. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across a wide range of vehicle systems, including hybrids, with emphasis on safety and quality. Collaboration with peers is encouraged to deliver excellent service.

Qualified technicians with a Canadian Journeyman license and 5+ years of experience are preferred. Own tools and a reliable vehicle are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
• Have a valid Canadian Journeyman License (required).
• 5+ years of light-duty mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across vehicle systems.
• Electrical diagnostics and drivetrain repair/replacements.
• Work with hybrid vehicles and ensure safety standards.
• Inspect and service tires, cooling, brakes, and oil services.
• Document inspections and communicate with teammates.

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, including:

• Electrical Diagnostics
• Drivetrain Repair and Replacements
• Ability to work and repair Hybrid Vehicles.
• Tires and tire repair
• Car heating and air conditioning
• Steering and suspension
• Belts and hoses
• Radiator and engine cooling systems
• Batteries, starting, and charging
• Steering and suspension
• Brake repair
• Oil services
• Check engine light
• Mufflers and exhaust services
• Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Automotive Technician or Mechanic
• Have a valid Canadian Journeyman License (required)
• 5+ years of light-duty mechanical experience
• Able to operate all auto repair tools
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment is a must
• Ability to use and operate the alignment system
• Enthusiastic, responsible, Team Player, and Reliable
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to be a part of a team-oriented environment
• Creative problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
• Own tools/equipment
• Able to service both import and domestic vehicles
• Excellent organizational and sequencing skills
• Familiar with reading and interpreting diagrams
• A valid driver’s license, clean driver's abstract, and reliable transportation are required
