Job summary

Summit Service Solutions is hiring a Solar Electrician to install, commission, and maintain photovoltaic systems for commercial and industrial clients. You will read drawings, follow NEC codes, and work with experienced electricians on a first-shift schedule.

The role offers competitive pay between $20 and $26 per hour, plus a 401K match, PTO, and paid holidays. Candidates must have an electrical apprentice license and be able to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid electrical apprentice license.
• Electrical construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and the NEC.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work at heights.
• U.S. work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, wiring, and maintenance of solar electrical systems.
• Assist electricians with electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Install and terminate electrical wiring, conduit, and components.
• Assist with solar panels, inverters, disconnects, and associated equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical plans, drawings, and schematics.

• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and job-site rules.

What You'll Do:

What We're Looking For:

• Must hold a valid electrical apprentice license
• Previous electrical construction experience preferred
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and the NEC
• Ability to read electrical drawings and follow instructions
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely lift, carry, climb, bend, kneel, and work from ladders/lifts as required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Essential Qualifications

• Proven ability to read solar one-lines, string diagrams, and structural drawings and to layout conduit and array geometry without supervision.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and U.S. work authorization required.
• Physical capacity to lift 75 lbs, work at heights, and supply standard electrical tools plus OSHA-compliant PPE.
