Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking full-time Counselors to provide individualized, evidence-based treatment across our addiction recovery programs. You will conduct individual, group, family and couple therapy, and manage all clinical needs and aftercare for your caseload.

The role requires a Master's degree in psychology or a related field and active licensure (CSAC, LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LSATP). You will collaborate with a treatment team to ensure compassionate, confidential, ethical care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling or related field is required.
• Valid state licensure/certification to practice in this role (CSAC, LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LSATP).
• Strong observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each client.
• Conduct individual, group, family and couple therapy sessions.
• Take responsibility for clinical needs, services and aftercare for your client caseload.
• Prevent, intervene and de-escalate in crisis situations.
• Maintain documentation of client challenges, progress and relapse risk.
• Collaborate with Clinical Director, treatment team and family for coordinated care.
• Model ethics and recovery principles in all professional interactions.

What You'll Do

• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each client

• Maintain impeccable documentation of client challenges, progress, relapse risk, and intervention

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling or related field required.
• Valid state licensure/certification necessary to practice in this role- CSAC, LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LSATP
• Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills
