Licensed Acupuncturist – Sports & Orthopedic Acupuncture (Full-Time, Onsite)
Pay: $50.00 – $60.00 per billable hour (see estimated earnings below)
Anjuna Sports Acupuncture, founded in 2013, is Eugene's specialty clinic for sports acupuncture, performance recovery, and integrated orthopedic care. We combine precision needling with modern performance science to help athletes and active individuals recover faster and stay in the game. Our practice is grounded in evidence-based orthopedic acupuncture protocols treating patients across the full activity spectrum: older adults keeping up their fitness routines, everyday movers managing the demands of work and family, and competitive athletes preparing for their next event. We participate in community treatments of University of Oregon Duck athletes and partner with the broader Eugene running, cycling, and outdoor athletics community.
This is a full-time, onsite clinical role focused on delivering high-quality sports and orthopedic acupuncture treatment within an integrated, referral-driven practice. From day one you will step into a warm, established patient flow — you are not building a book from scratch. You will manage your own treatment room, care for a roster of returning patients sourced from our existing referral base, and collaborate directly with the owner and clinical team on integrated treatment approaches. The role is designed to grow with you, with a defined pathway to lead clinician status and structured profit participation as the clinic continues to scale. Anjuna handles scheduling, intake, billing, and marketing through dedicated staff so that you can focus entirely on patient care.
At $50–$60 per billable hour and roughly 20–40 patient-facing hours per week, a full-time acupuncturist can expect approximately $1,000–$1,800 per week in billable earnings (about $61,000–$94,000 annualized), depending on experience, credentials, demonstrated proficiency, and patient volume. Paid bi-weekly, W2 classification.
Anjuna Sports Acupuncture is in-network with Pacific Source, Regence BCBS, Moda, UnitedHealthcare, ASH, Kaiser, and TriWest. Anjuna supervises billing under the clinic owner's license while your credentialing applications are in process with these payers, so you begin seeing patients — and earning your full clinical rate — starting on your first day, rather than waiting for credentialing to complete. The clinic provides all required attestations, group affiliation documentation, and process support; final responsibility for timely application submission and follow-through rests with the provider.
Credentialing typically requires 60–120 days from application to approval per payer. Candidates currently credentialed with Oregon commercial payers will generally be able to complete portability faster than candidates credentialing for the first time.
Demonstrates Clinical Precision: Brings exact location, depth, and technique to every needling decision, with reasoning grounded in functional anatomy and orthopedic assessment.
Operates with Integrity: Maintains patient confidentiality and professional discretion as default behavior; documents thoroughly and honestly.
Communicates Like a Clinician: Explains treatment plans, expected outcomes, and risks in clear, accessible language to patients and referring providers.
Pursues Mastery: Engages actively in continuing education, case review, and peer learning; brings new techniques back into the clinic for evaluation.
Demonstrates Patient-Centered Focus: Treats every patient interaction as a reflection of the clinic's standards and values.
This is a clinical role at a specialty practice where your hands-on treatment decisions directly shape patient outcomes. You will see a defined patient population: runners, cyclists, climbers, swimmers, weightlifters, court-sport athletes, and active community members managing musculoskeletal injuries. You will work alongside a sports acupuncture team in a truly integrated model, with modern equipment, well-maintained treatment rooms, and a referral pipeline already built — warm patient flow from your first week. You will have meaningful influence on clinical protocols, equipment selection, and the continued evolution of how we deliver sports recovery in Eugene. If you take your manual therapy craft seriously and want to deepen it in a specialty environment, this is the role for you.
Standard outpatient clinic environment with regular in-person interaction with patients, providers, and co-workers. The role requires being onsite during scheduled clinic hours, prolonged standing during treatment, sustained manual force and grip for soft-tissue work, fine finger dexterity for palpation, and the ability to assist patients onto and off of treatment tables. Occasionally requires lifting and carrying items up to 25 lbs. Regular exposure to clinical materials including cupping equipment, electrical stimulation devices, and topical liniments. Work may occasionally require travel to community athletic events.
Anjuna Sports Acupuncture celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race (including physical characteristics historically associated with race), religion, color, age, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, veteran status, disability, marital status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy-related conditions.
