Mighty River Wellness in Toluca Lake, CA, seeks a licensed acupuncturist specializing in fertility to join a small, dedicated team on a part-time basis with growth potential.
You will provide acupuncture for fertility and IVF support, attend off-site transfers as needed, and maintain efficient clinic rhythm with short patient intervals while building strong patient rapport.
Mighty River Wellness is a reproductive health acupuncture clinic in Toluca Lake, CA, specializing in fertility, IVF support, and women's health. We are a tight-knit team of three efficient, professional, deeply committed practitioners — and we're growing.
Our patients are navigating some of the most emotionally significant experiences of their lives. We take that seriously. We expect our team to as well.
We are adding a reproductive health acupuncturist to our clinical team on a part-time basis, with a clear path to growth.
This role begins with a Thursday afternoon shift (approximately 2–6 PM). As the schedule builds, Thursday expands to a full clinical day — and as we continue to grow, there is real potential for additional evening shifts. We grow your hours as we grow, so you're entering an active clinical environment with patients, support, and momentum already in place.
This role is also a fit for someone who wants to perform IVF transfer acupuncture. We work with patients undergoing IVF and need a practitioner who is able to attend transfers at partner fertility clinics in the Los Angeles area.
This is a long-term role within an established practice. It is not the right fit for someone who is building toward opening their own clinic or who is looking for a temporary bridge position.
Providing acupuncture care focused on fertility, IVF support, ART preparation, menstrual health, and women's reproductive health. Attending IVF transfers at partner fertility clinics as scheduling requires. Maintaining an efficient clinical rhythm with 15–20 minute patient intervals. Building genuine rapport quickly in a setting where patients often arrive anxious, emotionally tender, or in the middle of a major medical process. Completing charting accurately and on time. Communicating clearly with the front desk and clinical team. Contributing to a collaborative, professional, and genuinely supportive team culture.
Current, valid California Acupuncture License. A minimum of one year of clinical experience specifically in fertility and/or reproductive health acupuncture — not general wellness, not primarily pain. You should understand IVF protocols, ART timelines, and what your patients are going through at each stage. Availability to attend IVF transfers off-site at partner fertility clinics in the Los Angeles area. Strong rapport-building skills and comfort with patients in emotionally charged, sensitive situations. Reliable, consistent, and genuinely team-oriented — in a small clinic, your presence and follow-through matter.
FABORM certification or active pursuit of ABORM candidacy. Doctorate in Chinese Medicine (DACM or DAOM). Familiarity with IVF medications, protocols, and monitoring cycles. Experience working alongside or in communication with reproductive endocrinologists or fertility clinics. A strong foundation in both Eastern and Western frameworks for reproductive health.
We are willing to train the right person who has the clinical foundation, emotional intelligence, and genuine drive to grow in reproductive health. We are not able to train someone who is starting from scratch in this specialty.
Per-patient compensation. IVF transfer appointments are compensated separately at a premium rate ($375 per transfer). Typical hourly equivalent: $40–$140 depending on patient volume and session type. No administrative burden — no billing, no marketing, no scheduling. You show up, care for patients, and go home. We handle the rest.
A busy, active clinical environment with patients already on the schedule. A supportive, professional team that communicates well and genuinely likes working together. Ongoing mentorship in reproductive health from our lead practitioner (FABORM, DACM). A clear path to more hours as the practice grows. No need to manage the business side of practice. A relaxed, well-equipped, aesthetically considered clinic space.
This is the right role if you are a licensed California acupuncturist who has worked specifically in fertility or reproductive health, you want to be part of a team rather than building in isolation, you are looking for something you can grow into over time, and you find the IVF world genuinely interesting — not intimidating.
Mighty River Wellness is an equal opportunity employer. We enthusiastically welcome applicants of all backgrounds and identities.
