Job summary

American Pet Hospital in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join a close-knit team of animal care professionals. This full-time role offers opportunities to lead on the floor, work closely with three doctors, and support anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, venipuncture, and radiology while keeping patients and clients well-informed.

American Pet Hospital is looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician who is confident, positive, and ready to take ownership of their role while being part of a close-knit team.

For more than 30 years, American Pet Hospital has been caring for pets and families in the Las Vegas community. We're a full-service, three-doctor hospital offering everything from preventative care and diagnostics to dentistry, and soft tissue surgery.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an LVT who can step in with confidence and be a strong presence on the floor. Our ideal candidate is:

• A current Licensed Veterinary Technician
• A self-starter who sees what needs to be done and jumps in
• Confident in their technical skills and clinical judgment
• Comfortable taking the lead and helping keep the team moving
• Positive, dependable, and excited to come to work
• Collaborative and willing to support both doctors and teammates
• Someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit, team-oriented hospital

What You'll Do

As an LVT, you'll utilize your skills across all areas of patient care, including:

• Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Surgical and dental support
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Laboratory and diagnostic testing
• Radiology and patient positioning
• Medication administration
• Patient assessments and nursing care
• Client education and communication
• Supporting and partnering with our doctors
• Helping guide workflow and serving as a resource for the broader support team
• Compensation: $24-$28/hour, depending on experience
• Schedule: Four set days per week, Tuesday-Friday, with a rotating Saturday schedule
• Full-time LVT opportunity, with an additional part-time LVT opening
