The position is 4 to 8 hours per day, 11 months, Wage range from $29.58 to $37.86 per hour under CSEA.

Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the principal, perform a variety of library duties in the acquisition, circulation, maintenance, processing and distribution of textbooks, library books and instructional materials at an assigned middle or high school site; assist students and teachers in the selection, location and use of library materials and equipment.

Current Vacancies: 1 (4 hour position)

Work Hours/ Work Year: 4 to 8 hours per day / 11 Months (220 Days)

CSEA Hourly Salary Range 128: Step A $29.58, Step B $31.08, Step C $32.65, Step D $34.30, Step E $36.04, Step F $37.86

Promotional/Open: The promotional group as well as the public may apply. The promotional side of the eligibility list shall take precedence when certifying eligibles.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and three years clerical or library experience including work with computer operations and library circulation functions.

SELECTION & EXAMINATIONS: The selection process will consist of a competitive application screening for qualifications and completeness. A written/performance exam (weighted 40%) and an oral panel interview (weighted 60%) will be conducted. The exam dates are to be determined. A passing score must be achieved on each portion of the exams. Final selection will be made from those who achieve the three highest ranking scores.
