Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Skill to interpret and apply rules, policies, and procedures.

• Ability to organize, maintain, and conduct inventory of library material.

Responsibilities

• Advise principals, teachers, and offenders on library resources.
• Develop and maintain a balanced collection for incarcerated students.
• Recommend library books and materials for purchase.
• Inform principal of library material and instructional needs.
• Conduct library inventories.
• Lead library orientations and assist lessons with unit teachers.
• Follow unit library procedures and regulations.
• Supervise and train incarcerated student library clerks.
• Maintain circulation of library materials.
• Prepare and report circulation, inventory, newspapers, and magazines records.
• Submit special reports to the Administrative Office.
• Travel to provide library services at multiple facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
