Job summary

The Bossier Parish Libraries are seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide preventive maintenance and repairs for buildings and library equipment. The role requires travel to all library locations, with access to a parish vehicle, and reports to the Facilities Manager.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and 3–6 years of maintenance experience, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and safe driving practices.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Three to six years’ experience in maintenance with knowledge in: building maintenance, tools and equipment, building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), paints and painting techniques, safety procedures and laws, basic English and math, safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Performs general and preventive maintenance on buildings and related systems.
• Performs basic plumbing, electrical repair, carpentry, and painting.
