Bartholomew County Public Library seeks a collaborative, community-centered Library Director to guide BCPL’s strategic direction, operations, and partnerships. Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited library school is required.
• Indiana Librarian Certificate is required.
• Six years of professional library work experience, including three years of administrative experience (as a director or supervisor of at least two staff with MLS degrees).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, financial, administrative, and operational leadership for the library.
• Oversee budget, personnel, policies, facilities, collections, technology, outreach, and service planning.
• Support effective Board governance and develop grants and community partnerships.
• Represent BCPL within the community and profession.

Education

Master of Library Science (MLS) degree from an ALA-accredited library school
