Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Implements circulation policies and operates the circulation desk.
• Checks books in/out, processes overdue fines, issues library cards.
• Maintains shelves, reads shelves, and supports inventory restocking.
• Assists patrons with reading selections, research, and use of information resources.
• Answers calls, enrolls patrons in programs, and assists with copier and Internet access.
• Processes mail and handles periodicals.
• Repairs books or coordinates repairs with vendors; handles Mylar covers.
• Designs displays and prepares posters for the branch.
• Notifies patrons about reservations and item arrivals.
