Job summary

The City Library in Keller, TX is seeking a Library Technician to support collection maintenance, cataloging, RFID coding, inventory control, and liaison duties with vendors and interagency partners.

Under the direction of the Library Director, you will handle statistical reporting, budgeting support, procurement, maker equipment assistance, and customer service across all ages. This role requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3–5 years in Library Services.
• Koha or other ILS experience required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to sort and file.
• Professional demeanor; ability to work with diverse age groups and backgrounds.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
• Ability to type, read and write letters, emails.
• Ability to learn the City’s integrated Library software; strong organization; fast-paced environment.
• Valid Texas Class C driver license.
• Pass post-offer drug screen, physical, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Supports operational needs of the Library Department: collection maintenance and development; cataloging; RFID and coding; inventory control; liaison with vendors and customers.
• Produces statistical reports and analysis; billing; assists with budgeting and procurement; manages collections and supplies.
• Assists patrons with maker equipment.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
