JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Penn State Hazleton campus library is seeking applicants for a part-time Library Assistant. This is a student position for the 2026-2027 academic year. A successful candidate must be willing to work evenings (4:00pm - 8:00pm) and/or weekend shifts (as needed); weekday shifts are also available.

Job responsibilities include:

  • providing service at the front desk
  • processing library materials
  • performing shelf maintenance
  • conducting administrative tasks
  • working on various special projects, as assigned
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
