Job summary

Vermont State Colleges is seeking a Liaison Librarian to provide faculty outreach related to instructional materials and information literacy, and to serve as the on-campus liaison for a specific location. You will facilitate communication between libraries and programs, collaborate on open educational resources, and support virtual and in-person reference services.

You will develop workshops, maintain LibGuides CMS, promote library news, and participate in collection development discussions

Job description

Provide faculty outreach related to instructional materials and manage information literacy and consultations online including the learning management system.• Be the on-campus liaison librarian for a specific location at VTSU or CCV.• Facilitate and maintain communication between the libraries and assigned programs anddepartments.• Work with faculty in assigned areas on integrating open access resources and openeducational resources into their coursework.• Work with liaison team members to ensure equitable service among all programs anddepartments in the designated team.• Work with VSCS Library Director to develop policies and procedures forvirtual reference and instructional services.• Provide reference service and research support to all students and faculty via live chat,email, virtual, and in-person office hours.• Develop and teach general library workshops and subject-specific workshops as well aspre-recorded workshops and video tutorials.• Maintain LibGuides content management system (CMS) for online research guides inaddition to other Springshare products.• Promote library information and news via cross-campus communications and thelibrary’s social media platforms.• Meet with the assigned program or department faculty to discuss collection development,library resources, and services.• Review collection statistics with the library director to manage and maintain diverse andinclusive collections.• Work with the library director to help adjust collection development as necessary inresponse to new and deleted curricular, program, and research needs.• Collaborate within the liaison area to recommend materials for a wider and/orinterdisciplinary audience.• Serve on system-wide library committees.• Perform other related duties as assigned.HOURS: Sundays-Thursdays 10am-6pm during the academic year and 8am-4pm in the summer and breaks.Scheduled Hours Weekly:37.5Budgeted Wage for this Position:To fill opening liaison librarian position.Exempt Status:ExemptGrade:S13Job Posting Responsibilities:Unit Determination:Professional, Administrative, Technical - VSC United Professionals
