Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is seeking a LGV 2 Driver for the AM shift. You will operate LGV vehicles to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers, working Monday to Friday from 05:00 onwards.

This role requires a valid UK Cat C license, CPC, Tachograph card, and a strong commitment to safe driving and customer service. You’ll be part of a team with in-house training and benefits through Biffa Perkz.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of drivers’ hours and road transport legislation.
• Health and safety awareness, with the ability to follow company procedures.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and reliable approach to work, with good timekeeping.
• Ability to carry out vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Commitment to safe and responsible driving.
• Previous LGV Class 2 driving experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers.
• Work outdoors, using initiative to complete tasks and improve local environment.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and report defects in a timely manner.
• Follow company procedures and health and safety rules.

LGV 2 Driver - AM Shift

Monday to Friday

Start Time: 05.00

Pay: £16.87p/h

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
