Qualifications

• MSW (or LMHC, LCSW/LCSW-R) or Doctorate in clinical/counseling psychology with 3–5 years of experience.
• Licensed to practice in New York State.
• Ability to cultivate inclusive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community.
• Independent delivery of services in a satellite location.
• Experience with college mental health issues (suicidality, eating disorders, substance use, depression, anxiety, trauma).
• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
• Understanding of ethical and legal issues in clinical services.
• Experience working with LGBTQ+ community.

Responsibilities

• Provide Let’s Talk services and outreach to student groups and campus offices.
• Lead identity-focused support/treatment groups.
• Engage in short-term individual counseling and crisis management with students.
• Collaborate with CAPS leadership and other healthcare providers.
• Support campus community and foster belonging and wellbeing.
