Fitch Group is seeking a Credit Markets Reporter in New York. You will author stories on trading situations and build a robust source list of investors to explore market-moving developments in leveraged finance.

The role emphasizes analyzing SEC filings and company disclosures to assess debt impacts. You’ll join a team focused on leveraged loans, high yield, and CLOs, delivering timely data-driven insights while engaging with external markets and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leveraged finance experience preferred.
• Drive to break news in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management to meet multiple deadlines.
• Attention to detail and proficiency with financial data.
• Strong communication skills to drive internal collaboration and external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Author stories daily on trading situations occurring in the market.
• Build a source list comprised of investors and traders to gain insight on situations moving markets.
• Analyze company disclosures and SEC filings to identify impacts on companies’ debt.
• Develop statistic-based stories from proprietary data and write timely insightful pieces.
• Coordinate with the Special Situations team to gather information on private earnings- and earnings-related debt movers.
• Capture market trends and deliver synopsis in weekly, monthly, and sector coverage reports.
• Contribute to growth by expanding coverage with new secondary market reports, webinars, and podcasts.
• Represent LFI at industry events and via personal meetings.
