Job summary

Easy Ice is seeking a Refurb Technician III/II to refurbish and repair ice machines, mentor junior technicians, and coordinate tasks across the Refurb team. The role also supports inventory management and maintains equipment to high standards.

Based in Fort Worth, TX, this on-site position emphasizes quality service and customer-focused outcomes. A technical background in HVAC or related fields is preferred, with substantial hands-on experience and a collaborative work style encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in related field, ice machine experience preferred.
• Experience in refurbishment or repair of equipment is desirable.
• Ability to mentor and train junior techs and coordinate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Refurbish and repair ice machines to Easy Ice standards.
• Mentor and train less experienced Refurb Technicians.
• Coordinate tasks among Refurb technicians and ensure warehouse standards.
• Handle part ordering and inventory as needed.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and document activities.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance customer experience.

The Refurb Technician III is an exciting and dynamic position that will appeal to a creative, resourceful, high-energy, and organized person who thrives in service-oriented and customer-facing situations. The Refurb Technician III is responsible for the refurbishment and repair activities on ice machines. This position works closely with other Refurb Technicians and the Technical Services team and is responsible for the mentoring and training of less experienced technicians. This role is critical in ensuring the optimal functionality of our equipment to meet our customers' service requirements while operating with proficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, a commitment to maintaining equipment in good working order, and a willingness to learn and grow within the field of ice machine repair and maintenance. The Refurb Technician III is dedicated to driving service success that not only enhances customer satisfaction but also maximizes customer retention through reliable and responsive service.

The Refurb Technician II is an exciting and dynamic position that will appeal to a creative, resourceful, high-energy, and organized person who thrives in service-oriented and customer-facing situations.

How you will do it:

• The Refurb Technician III is a progression from Refurb Technician II. Although the scope and responsibility goes up at each level, all levels of Refurb Technician - I, II, and III, are responsible for duties as assigned
• Ensure Refurb and Repair work is completed to Easy Ice standards and properly documented
• Responsible for identifying equipment to scrap
• Mentor and train less experience Refurb Technicians
• May coordinate the tasks of Refurb technicians
• Ensure warehouse meets standards required by law
• May be responsible for part ordering and inventories
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested
• Maintain positive office atmosphere/environment

What we are look for:

Education: A degree in a technical, HVAC, or related program is preferred, but not required. 5+ years of experience in related field, ice machine experience preferred

Experience: 5 years of relevant experience

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• The employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use ladders; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel surfaces, parts and tools; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Stands for extended periods of time (8+ hours per day)
• While the noise level in the work environment is usually somewhat quiet, the worker may be subject to elevated noise levels
