Job summary

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, and supervise direct nursing care according to physician orders.

Requirements include a Florida RN license (or compact), BLS, NRP, and at least 1 year in a Level III PICU. Advanced neonatal certifications are preferred, with strong patient-focused teamwork central to the role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate’s degree or higher.
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License or Compact Licensure.
• Current BLS Certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• One or more years of experience as a Level III PICU RN.
• National Neonatal High-Risk Nursing and STABLE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Provide, assist, and supervise direct nursing care to patients per physicians’ orders.
• Recognize nursing techniques, procedures, standards, and administrative policies.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
