Overview

CHIPLEY, FL Neel-Schaffer is a dynamic engineering firm with offices or projects in nine states. We have an opportunity for a Level I CEI Inspector to join our Chipley, FL Office. The ideal candidate can be based in Chipley or any location in-between. This position involves skilled Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) field work. The CEI Inspector will be responsible for performing assignments assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties and will receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress. The right candidate will be required to complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course, and submit the mandatory Certification of Course Completion form (for structures projects).

Responsibilities

The CEI Inspector will perform assignments assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties and will receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress.

Education And/Or Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent, plus two years of experience in construction inspection, with one of those years in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection; or
• Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering degree (requires certificate) and have the ability to earn the required qualifications and certifications within one year, plus demonstrated knowledge in the areas listed below.
