Job summary

You will assist in a Young 5's classroom under the lead teacher and building principal. Responsibilities include team teaching support, curriculum assistance, observing and documenting student performance, and helping with personal care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with elementary students desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a team teaching model with planning time.
• Assist with curriculum implementation and student assessment.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, volunteers, Preschool Coordinator, DLECC staff, and Principal.
• Participate in school-wide events.
• Maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students.
• Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment with strong classroom management.
• Observe and document student performance.
• Assist with personal needs such as handwashing, feeding, and bathroom assistance.
• Other duties as assigned by the principal.
