Giants Ridge, managed by Guest Services, is seeking a Level 1 Lift Technician to perform basic maintenance, inspections, and repairs on ski lifts under close supervision to support safe, reliable lift operation for guests and staff.
This entry-level position offers on-the-job training, mentorship, and clear pathways for advancement into Level 2 and Level 3 technician roles. Hourly wage ranges from $19.00 to $24.00, with comprehensive benefits and a dynamic mountain work environment.

The Level 1 Lift Technician performs basic maintenance, inspections, and repairs on ski lifts under close supervision to support safe, reliable lift operation for guests and staff. This position report to the Lift Maintenance Manager.
Moving about on foot, snowmobile or UTV to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place on the mountain. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 lbs. regularly, 50-75 lbs. frequently, ability to push, pull up to 200+ lbs. with assistance. The ability to follow established policies and procedures when operating a snowmobile and/or UTV on the mountain. Ability to perform work in extreme cold, wet and hot weather conditions for extended periods of time. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Reading and writing work-related documents in English. Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English. Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a fast-paced environment. Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties. Must have the ability to engage in a wide variety of physical activities including walking, and working on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders and stairs, kneeling, squatting, etc. Ability to perform a wide variety of duties at heights from 10-60+ feet off the ground. Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
