Job summary

UVA Health seeks a Clinical Faculty member in Leukemia within Hematology/Oncology at the University of Virginia. The position emphasizes clinical care, teaching, and research, with inpatient/outpatient duties and participation in multidisciplinary Cancer Center activities in Charlottesville, VA.

The successful candidate will hold an MD or equivalent, be board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology, and contribute to education of fellows, residents, and medical students

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology by start date.
• Dual certification encouraged but not required.
• Internal Medicine board certification required if not certified in Oncology/Hematology at start.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to leukemia and marrow failure patients on inpatient and outpatient services.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and clinical research within UVA Cancer Center.
• Engage in teaching fellows, residents, and medical students as part of the educational mission.
• Participate in translational research opportunities and clinical trials.
