Job summary

Mannington Mills, Inc. is seeking a production associate to support the laminate and print layer setup on the production line. The role requires following schedules, ensuring materials are available, and operating overhead hoists to move rolls to and from letoff.

You will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area while adhering to all safety procedures. Ideal candidates are physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs, able to stand for long periods, and capable of flexible

  • Ability to stand, bend, squat, and tolerate varying temperatures.
  • Must be quality conscious and flexible with hours.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be a highly motivated team player.
  • Basic computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

  • Review schedule to determine product construction requirements and ensure material is available at the line
  • Setup incoming laminate layers according to product construction requirements
  • Setup incoming print layers according to product construction requirements
  • Safely operate overhead hoist to move rolls to and from letoff
  • Monitor schedule and prepare for changes in order sequence
  • Place scrap material in appropriate bins and record as instructed
  • Assist with root cause analysis in eliminating / reducing defects
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of work station
  • Maintain safe work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Review schedule to determine product construction requirements and ensure material is available at the line
  • Setup incoming laminate layers according to product construction requirements
  • Setup incoming print layers according to product construction requirements
  • Safely operate overhead hoist to move rolls to and from letoff
  • Monitor schedule and prepare for changes in order sequence
  • Place scrap material in appropriate bins and record as instructed
  • Assist with root cause analysis in eliminating / reducing defects
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of work station
  • Maintain safe work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures
Job Requirements and Skills
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
  • Ability to perform duties which requires tolerance of standing, repetitive hand movements, continual bending and squatting, near/far/depth/color vision, and inside ambient temperatures

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, push, pull & reach for long periods of time. Must be able to lift & carry up to 60 lbs. Ability to maneuver around an array of machinery. Use of hands to finger, handle or feel. Color & peripheral vision; depth perception & ability to adjust focus. Work environment conditions include: exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes, airborne particles and chemicals; extreme heat & loud noise level in some areas of the facility. Ability to quickly respond to a signal when it appears. Must be able to wear safety shoes & other assigned PPE for the duration of the shift. Ability to work in an efficient & timely manner, multitasking where necessary. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
