Job summary

Pine Crest invites applications for a Lessons Instructor at our Fort Lauderdale campus. The role focuses on developing the skills and talents of swimmers, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth while ensuring safety on the pool deck and in locker rooms.

Key duties include coaching in-school and after-school lesson programs, teaching Learn-to-Swim for ages 3 and under and adults, supporting the Lessons Director, and helping develop new programs while upholding school policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience coaching athletics, specifically a USDA Diving Program.
• Certifications: USA Diving Coach certification, CPR and First Aid.

• Coaches and administers the in-school and after-school lesson program
• Assists in the development of new programs and "out of the pool" activities
• Ensures the safety and security of all swimmers and Pine Crest students in and around the pool, pool deck, and locker rooms
• Teaches 3 year old and under "learn to swim" skills and teach adult "learn to swim" skills for people 18 years and older
• Assists the Lessons Director as needed
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Supervisor or their designee
