The YMCA of Silicon Valley in San Jose, CA is hiring a part-time Group Fitness Instructor to lead energetic group classes and help members achieve personal health goals. You will tailor sessions to diverse abilities and cultures while maintaining safety and attendance records.
Required certifications include CPR/First Aid/AED and a national group fitness credential (ACE/NETA/AFAA/NASM) or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise. Prior group wellness teaching experience is preferred.
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Instructs group classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that welcomes people of all skill and fitness levels. Effectively builds community within the class. Modifies class as needed to meet varied health, ability and cultural needs.
SALARY RANGE: $25.00 - $37.00/hour
