The University of Michigan School of Information (UMSI) invites applications for a part-time LEO Lecturer I position. The successful candidate will join UMSI as a primary instructor for SI 540 Privacy in Information Technology in the Winter 2027 semester. This is a 3-credit graduate-level course. This will be a part-time position starting 1/1/2027 and ending 4/30/2027 with 25% effort. Applicants must be available for in-person instruction on the University of Michigan Ann Arbor Campus.
As a Lecturer I at UMSI, you will be the primary instructor for SI 540 Privacy in Information Technology. The successful candidate will develop course syllabi and materials, deliver course content to students, and provide student assessments including grading and feedback. You will be expected to coordinate and work collaboratively with the teaching team for this course, and respond to school and teaching team communications, ensuring daily/evening/weekend coverage for students will be expected. You will also work collaboratively with UMSI administration and staff to ensure that students receive an excellent education and are aware of support services in the larger UM and UMSI communities.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
