Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Quality Control Associate for a contract role in Philadelphia, PA. The candidate will perform release, characterization, and stability testing of lentiviral vectors, utilizing ELISA/AlphaLISA, PCR/qPCR, Western blot, and flow cytometry.

Responsibilities include executing molecular and cell-based assays, preparing samples, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and GLP/cGMP requirements. Strong documentation and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field with 1+ year of relevant experience; biopharmaceutical experience preferred.
• Experience with viral vector characterization, PCR/qPCR or ddPCR, ELISA/AlphaLISA, Western blot, flow cytometry, and/or cell-based assays.
• Experience working in GLP/cGMP environments and developing or following laboratory procedures preferred.
• Ability to independently execute, troubleshoot, analyze, and communicate experimental results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform release, characterization, and stability testing of lentiviral vectors using ELISA/AlphaLISA, Western blot, PCR/qPCR, flow cytometry, particle analysis, and cell-based viral titration.
• Execute and troubleshoot molecular, biochemical, and cell-based assays to evaluate viral vector strength, identity, purity, and safety.
• Prepare samples, reagents, buffers, and cell cultures while following SOPs and GLP/cGMP requirements.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data and communicate results through reports, protocols, presentations, and technical documentation.
• Support analytical method development and optimization for lentiviral vector characterization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments, troubleshoot issues, and meet project timelines.
