Job summary

Jobot is seeking an associate for AmLaw firm–level Sophisticated Real Estate Finance practice in New York. The role focuses on lender-side transactions with meaningful responsibility, handling complex commercial real estate financing from due diligence through closing.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of substantive CRE finance experience, strong drafting and analytical skills, and a JD from an accredited law school. Salary is competitive with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of substantive commercial real estate finance experience.
• Prefer representation of lenders in financing transactions.
• Strong experience drafting and reviewing commercial real-estate loan documents.
• Strong understanding of commercial real-estate financing transactions.
• Experience conducting and managing transactional due diligence.
• Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate loan documents.
• Assist with acquisition, bridge, construction, permanent, mezzanine, and other real estate financing transactions.
• Conduct and manage legal due diligence for real estate finance transactions.
• Review title, survey, organizational, environmental, insurance, and other due diligence materials.
• Identify and analyze legal issues and communicate recommendations to senior attorneys and clients.
• Prepare and manage closing checklists and coordinate closing logistics.
