The Oklahoma State Senate is seeking a Legislative Attorney to join non-partisan staff. You will perform legal reviews of proposed legislation, assess constitutional and statutory compliance, and support the drafting of law and amendments with precision.

The ideal candidate holds Oklahoma licensure, thrives in a fast-paced session, communicates clearly with legislators, and can balance multiple assignments under tight deadlines while delivering thorough, well-reasoned guidance.

Qualificações

• Licensed attorney in Oklahoma with knowledge of state and federal law.
• Experience with legislative process and terminology preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal review of proposed legislation for constitutional and statutory compliance.
• Conduct legal research on federal/state laws and precedents.
• Draft memoranda and language for legislation as requested.
• Attend committee meetings and hearings to advise on legal questions.
• Review executive appointments requiring Senate approval.
