Job summary

The Office of Senator Adam Schiff is seeking a Legislative Assistant to cover agriculture, nutrition, water, and rural development issues. Job description

The Office of Senator Adam Schiff is seeking a Legislative Assistant to cover agriculture, nutrition, water, and rural development issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the policy portfolio, congressional or executive branch experience, and a track record of coalition building and achieving bipartisan legislative success, with strong relationships across government. California ties are a plus and should be noted.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, advising the Senator about relevant policy issues, leading his relevant work on the Agriculture Committee and Environment and Public Works Committee, representing the Senator in meetings with high-level representatives, developing new and existing policy priorities with an eye towards bipartisan success, and working with stakeholders both in California and DC to advance policy priorities. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully juggle multiple short-term priorities while also making progress on longer-term projects.

This is a full-time in-person position. Salary commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for all Senate employee benefits. Senator Schiff's office is an equal opportunity employer.
