Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Workers' Compensation experience.
• ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor's Degree.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Word; typing 50 wpm.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to attorneys and the Office Supervisor.
• Prepare simple to moderately complex legal documents.
• Schedule medical appointments for clients.
• Proofread documents for spelling and grammar.
• Organize and maintain case files.
• Screen telephone calls and visitors; read and respond to mail.

The Legal Assistant maintains a close professional relationship with attorneys and manages their day-to-day activities.

Compensation

~$24 - $35/hour

Daily Objectives

• Provides administrative and clerical support to one or more attorneys and the Office Supervisor.
• Prepares correspondence and simple to moderately complex legal documents.
• Schedules medical appointments.
• Proofreads documents for spelling and grammar.
• Organizes and maintains files.
• Screens telephone calls and visitors.
• Reads and responds to mail.

Skills & Experience

• ~2+ years of Workers' Compensation experience
• ~ ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate OR Bachelor's Degree
