Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Legal Office Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our Legal Department. This role entails legal office management and executive-level administrative support, ensuring seamless legal office management and operations.
You will play a pivotal role in managing corporate governance and compliance workflows, coordinating litigation and investigations support, maintaining key corporate legal records, and serving as a trusted executive partner the senior legal leadership team. This opportunity is onsite at our headquarters in Reston, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Operations & Office Management:
Manage and maintain legal department workflows, ensuring alignment with internal procedures and deadlines.
- Oversee corporate registrations and entity management, ensuring all business licenses and corporate filings are current.
- Support governance activities including preparation of board and committee materials, meeting coordination, and records management.
- Administer company policies and procedures across departments, ensuring accessibility, version control, and policy compliance.
- Maintain and enhance the legal document management system for accessibility, security, and compliance.
Litigation & Investigations Support:
- Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation matters; manage billing, document production, and calendaring.
- Provide support to internal investigations, including scheduling and administering witness interviews and managing document review workflows.
Compliance & Training Administration:
- Assist in the creation, rollout, and tracking of legal, regulatory, and compliance training across the organization.
- Maintain documentation of employee training completion and assist in audit preparation as needed.
Executive Support:
- Provide high-level administrative support to Legal Department senior leadership.
- Prepare presentations, correspondence, and reports on behalf of the Legal Department.
- Serve as liaison between the Legal Department and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or Masters degree and 3 years of experience in legal operations, legal administration, or executive assistant roles (preferably in a corporate legal environment). 9 years of applicable experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proven experience supporting senior executives with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, DocuSign, Concur).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Paralegal certification or legal studies background preferred.
- US Citizenship.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
