Responsibilities

• Order, review, identify, and organize medical records.

• Collaborate with attorneys on medical aspects of cases.
• Conduct literature searches on medical topics and experts.
• Organize materials for expert witness review.
• Prepare demonstrative evidence and assist with deposition and trial prep.
• Educate attorneys and clients on relevant medical concepts.

The Position

This is an excellent opportunity for legal nurse consultant professionals seeking to expand their careers and who are interested in gaining fast-paced professional experience with a national law firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order, Review, identify, and organize relevant medical records
• Prepare chronologies, timelines, and detailed summaries of medical documentation
• Evaluate medical issues related to causation and damages
• Assess strengths and weaknesses of medical aspects of cases in collaboration with attorneys
• Conduct literature searches and research on medical topics, parties, and experts
• Assist in identifying and organizing materials for expert witness review
• Prepare demonstrative evidence and assist with deposition, ADR, and trial preparation
• Educate attorneys and clients on relevant medical concepts

Qualifications

• Legal Nurse Consultant Certification (LNCC through AALNC preferred)
• Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven experience in medical and damages analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
