• Proficient in MS Office.

About This Role

Old Mission is a global proprietary trading firm that uses cutting-edge technology and research to identify and execute profitable trading strategies across asset classes worldwide, with offices in Chicago, New York, and London.

This 2027 summer internship gives a law student real junior-attorney-level work inside a financial services legal department. You'll work alongside experienced counsel on active matters, get regular feedback, and gain hands‑on exposure to the corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues facing a prop trading firm regulated by the SEC, FINRA, CFTC, and FCA.

What You'll Do

• Review and assist with the firm's commercial agreements and vendor contracts

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a U.S. accredited law school, Class of 2028 or 2029, with a strong academic record

• Familiarity with securities, commodities, or financial services regulation

• Prior internship or clinic experience in a legal or financial services setting

Pay Range

$30–$35/hr., depending on experience, skills, and qualifications relative to role requirements. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and Illinois state wage and hour law.
