Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Parsippany, NJ invites law students to join its 10 Week Accelerate internship program. You will conduct legal research, assist with drafting and reviewing documents, and support subpoenas, investigations, and general litigation activities.

This paid internship offers exposure to in-house counsel, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to learn how the legal function supports business partners across the U.S. and Canada.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in Law School.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week at World HQ in Parsippany, NJ.
• Strong analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations.
• Assist with drafting, blacklining, and preparation of legal documents.
• Assist with review, internal investigations and responses to subpoenas and small claims matters.
• Support general document management related to litigation and compliance.
• Coordinate with in-house and outside counsel on case management and communications.
