Job summary

TOKYO ELECTRON U.S.HOLDINGS, INC. is seeking a part-time Summer 2027 Legal Intern for its U.S. headquarters in Austin, TX. Rising 2Ls are preferred.

The internship is paid and payroll will be processed through TEL's provider. The role offers substantive legal work from day one, exposure to commercial and corporate practice, and opportunities to work with in-house teams across regions. Eligible students must be enrolled in a JD program and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in JD program.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Engage in substantive legal work from day one, including work on non-disclosure agreements, basic transactional agreements, research projects and client-facing meetings.
• Learn how to draft, revise, and analyze a range of commercial agreements.
• Learn about corporate compliance programs and assist with handling and disposition of disputes.
• Navigate a legal department in a multi-national corporation within a cutting-edge industry.
• This role does not focus on IP drafting or prosecution; exposure to soft IP issues like trade secrets and licensing will occur.
