Join us at Laine, where we’re on a mission to make expert-quality legal work accessible to every law firm and legal team. Laine is legal software built by attorneys — decades of legal methodology, built into the product — so lawyers produce partner-level drafting, review, and analysis without changing the way they work.
Legal AI will be one of the defining categories of this decade, and the companies that win it are being
decided right now. We launched in Switzerland in 2026, and we’re now building our U.S. business from
Austin. You’d be joining the commercial team at the heart of that expansion — early enough that your work
shapes how we grow, who we reach, and how we win.
If you push for excellence and want to help build something genuinely new in legal technology, we invite
you to build with us. At Laine, the future of legal work is being written today — and we’re just getting
started.
As Legal Engineer at Laine, you will be the practicing lawyer inside our go-to-market team — the person in the room who has lived the work our clients live every day. Laine was built by lawyers encoding decades of methodology into software, and this role carries that credibility into every client conversation in the U.S. market. Make no mistake: this is a revenue role with an acquisition mandate — you are part of the sales process, and your success is measured in the firms that choose Laine and adopt it deeply. You will sit alongside sales in demos and pilots, guide new firms through onboarding, support client success on the legal substance of adoption, and translate what you hear from attorneys into concrete product direction. When a skeptical partner asks whether Laine truly understands their practice, you are the answer.
If your experience doesn’t precisely match this description but you believe you would excel in the role, we encourage you to apply.
These traits run through everyone on this team. You don’t need to arrive polished, but you’ll do your best
work here if they sound like you:
The annualized base salary range for this role is $110,000–$165,000, plus performance-based incentives. The final offer will be based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

Laine is an equal opportunity employer. Laine is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.
