Job summary

VISTRA is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its Americas-wide Legal function in a fully remote role. The candidate will review, draft and negotiate U.S.-law governed commercial contracts, including services agreements, statements of work and data processing arrangements.

Flexibility with U.S. bar admission is allowed; strong experience with U.S.-style contracts is required. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Head of Legal Americas.

Qualifications

• Requires a law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Admission to the U.S. bar is not mandatory but experience with U.S.-style contracts is required.
• Significant experience in commercial/legal contracts roles considered.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate U.S.-law governed commercial contracts (services agreements, SOWs, data processing arrangements).

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating U.S.-law governed commercial contracts, including services agreements, statements of work, and data processing arrangements. The role aims to ensure consistency and quality across commercial contracting activities using standard templates and technology-enabled tools. This is a full-time, permanent, fully remote position reporting to the Head of Legal Americas.
Eligibility: Applicants should hold a Law degree or an equivalent legal qualification. Alternatively, candidates with significant experience as a senior paralegal in a commercial/legal contracts role will be considered. While admission to the U.S. bar is not mandatory, meaningful experience with U.S. style contracts and negotiations is required.
